Sydney has a great musical heritage and can hold massive stadium concerts to small intimate gigs. Singers, musicians and bands come from all the four corners of the globe to play in Sydney.

Everything can be heard from classical, rock, pop, country and EDM in this beautiful harbour city. In this blog we look at the upcoming musical events in this vibrant and happening place.

Opera in the Domain

13th January

An unforgettable evening’s entertainment is the Opera in the Domain which is now an established part of the Sydney musical calendar. Australia’s brightest opera stars gather together for a feast of classical entertainment featuring some classic arias from the world’s favourite operas.

The best thing is that the whole open air event is totally free, so join the other Sydneysiders down at the Domain for a great night out.

Weezer & Foo Fighters

27th January

Weezer and the Foo Fighters are on tour to Australia in early 2018 to follow up both bands latest album releases Concrete and Gold and Pacific Daydream.

The Foo Fighters have already released The Sky is a Neighborhood, The Line and Run from Concrete and Gold and will feature all three songs in their set in Sydney.

Meanwhile Weezer have released the singles Mexican Fender and Feels Like Summer from their upcoming album Pacific Daydream.

It is bound to be a sell out gig for these two mega popular bands, so the best advice is to grab your tickets early.

Roger Waters

2nd Feb

One of the famous names in rock music, Roger Waters comes to Sydney for one night in February. The tour is named Us and Them and will feature some of the most iconic songs by Pink Floyd including The Dark Side of the Moon album.

It has been five years since Waters has come to Australia’s shores and he will also play some of his solo back catalogue on the tour.

Robert Plant & the Sensational Space Shifters

26th March

Many Led Zeppelin have been dreaming of a possible reunion by the supergroup, and whilst this looks like a pipedream the closest thing you can possibly get to it is attending one of the upcoming gigs in Australia.

The revered Zeppelin front man is set to hit stages all over the country with his magical band the Sensational Space Shifters. The veteran singer has confirmed that his concerts will feature some of Zeppelin’s greatest songs to celebrate the band’s fiftieth anniversary this year.

There is little chance that Led Zeppelin will ever get back together so this is a great chance to hear some of their songs live, perhaps for the last time sung as they only possibly can be by Robert Plant.

If you are thinking of attending any of these great occasions as part of a group then why not travel in comfort by luxury bus. First Choice Charters are the number one coach charter company in Sydney, they will ensure you and your group get to the gig on time with no fuss or hassle. So you can have an evenings great entertainment without having to fight through the traffic or park your car.
